Orders of Chivalry who wish to become a member organisation are requested to send a profile of the order, the rules, the constitution and the acceptance of the rules of self regulation (refer to download below) to the HFOC. The Accreditation Commission will examine the membership application and gets back to the Head of the order immediately. The order receives a detailed feedback and can react to minor issues in order comply to the rules of self regulation. A membership is not inforceable by law.

Individuals are requested to send the membership application and the acceptance of the rules of self regulation which can be downloaded below. The oath of chivalry is recommended for persons, who are not yet in the state of knighthood. The HFOC distinguish normal members, honory knights (Chevalier d´honneur) and knights (Chevalier, Chevalleresse). The award of knighthood takes place either if the member already is a knight or by awarding an honory knighthood by der HFOC itself.

The Humanistic Federation of Chivalry is a non-profit organisation. No expenses are charged for the membership or the entry in the HFOC. The initiative is financed thru voluntary  donations.
